Introducing the 2000-01 USA Council Board

USA Council PRESIDENT

Lloyd Crockett, Serra Club of Memphis, Tenn., has served as club president. He was District 18 governor and Region 5 director. He has served as USA Council vice-president of communications and programs. He is on several USA Council committees including Long-Range Planning and Relationships. USA Council PRESIDENT-ELECT

Claire Howard, Serra Club of Bethlehem, Pa., served as club president for two terms, as District 80 governor, and as Region 3 director. She has chaired USA Council’s Meetings and Conventions Committee, and has served on the Finance, Leadership Training and Membership committees. She has most recently served as vice-president for membership and programs. USA Council COMMUNICATIONS VICE-PRESIDENT

Bill Ramsey, Serra Club of Omaha, Neb., has served as club president, district governor, international trustee, and club vice-president for communications. He launched the famous black-and-white ad series for vocations and developed the Serra 2000 program which seeks to promote Serra’s canonization. Ramsey was honored with the Outstanding USA Council Serran Award last June. He received the Jan Berber Award in 1996 and an Outstanding Serran of District 7 Award in 1997. Most recently he has served as Region 8 director. Sarah Smith, Serra Club of Brazoria County, Texas, has served as club secretary, vice-president for vocations and District 10 governor. She has served as USA Council Vocations Committee chair and was a member of the Vocations Committee for seven years. Currently she serves on the Finance and Meetings and Conventions committees. USA Council VOCATIONS VICE-PRESIDENT

Jim DeNike, Serra Club of Northwest Houston, has spent his life working for Shell Chemical Co., and is a former president and CEO of the Scallop Companies, Shell subsidiaries. He has served at the club level as president and vocations chairman. Most recently he has chaired the USA Council Long-Range Planning Committee for the past two years. F. Patrick Egan, Jr., Serra Club of Wichita, Kan., has served as club president and membership vice-president. He won an Outstanding Serran Award in 1997. He has chaired the USA Council Relationships and Bylaws committees. Currently he is a member of the Bylaws, Finance and Relationships committees. He is also a trustee on the International Board. F. Raymond J. Martin, a member of the Serra Club of Lake and Geauga Counties, OH, has served as member and chair of the Serra International Convention Committee from 1988-96 and as district governor. He currently serves on the Serra International Nominating Committee and the International and USA Council Long-Range planning Committees.
