The end of an era: Sister Marlene Bemis, the last of Wheaton Franciscan sisters who have lived and worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital since it was founded in 1899, will leave for her order’s suburban Chicago headquarters. Bemis has lived at St. Elizabeth since 1965. From the Appleton Post-Crescent.
